.STORE Domains Launch Is More Than An Expected Success

The new deal with CentralNic Group Plc’s existing client, Radix FZC, speaks about the launch of the first e-commerce TLD, the .STORE domains, that will use only the company’s backend technology platform. Ben Crawford, CentralNic chief executive thinks Radix “has pulled off another significant coup”.
The company highlighted that web domain sellers like GoDaddy, Tucows and 1&1 will be allowed to sell .STORE domains to not just e-commerce websites, but also to other websites. Another important point to remember, sustained by the statistics from nntldstats.com, is that no any other provider gets more sales of new TLDs than its backend.
It seems that CentralNic is one of the few companies that makes profit from the new .STORE domains, obtaining a set fee for each domain registered. Radix’s target for this TLD are small business, well-known brands and start-ups.
“CentralNic values our long term relationship with Radix, which has already emerged as one of the most successful companies in the new Top-Level Domain space, and is excited to be Radix’s partner in ensuring the smooth launch and supporting the expected growth of the .STORE TLD.”
Popularity is on Radix side, making it achieve top 20 rankings for 4 of its TLDs: .SPACE, .WEBSITE, .SITE and .ONLINE. All its other four TLDs have used CentralNic’ s technical backend platform. Perhaps that’s the key to success.
According to statistics from Domainsbot, there are over 1.7 million e-commerce authorized websites.
Offline storage, online cloud storage companies or warehousing groups are part of the secondary target market.
CentralNic has gained Radix confidence, its vice president, Sandeep Ramchandani portraying CentralNic as a reliable and confirmed partner.
“While the purpose for .STORE is specific to websites and platforms that offer products or services for sale online, the target market is global and highly diverse,” were Sandeep Ramchandani words.
Having a brandname.STORE is the ideal gateway for customers who want a web commerce site.
Radix expects to have the biggest demand from existing brands in the coming future. In Ramchandani opinion customers are looking for short, plain and accurate call-to-action for their marketing messages.
