Lots of exciting things going on at Nominet lately. As regular readers will recall, back in November 2007, Nominet proposed to establish a Foundation as a way of giving back to the community. At the time, it sought member and stakeholder feedback about the Foundation and possible beneficiaries.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. As a result, Nominet announced that they would create the Nominet Foundation, a charitable organisation that will fund education, research and development initiatives in the UK Internet industry.
Nominet also announced its Annual General Meeting. This will be held in London, England on 30 April 2008. Details of the venue will be announced shortly. Mark this date on your calendars!
