This June, the folks at EuroDNS set up a European conference for domainers on the days just prior to the ICANN meeting in Paris.

DomainerMeeting Paris is going to be at the same venue hotel as the ICANN meeings, with a 1 day gap between the two events. This is the first time that there will be a domain marketplace conference adjoining an ICANN meeting, and it will be very interesting to see how this unfolds.
In past meetings ICANN, I have had the priveledge of participating in and moderating many of the domain marketplace sessions that ICANN has held during their meetings, and I have been very inspired by the interest of staff in having knowledge transfer happen between the marketplace and the policy world.
Many of the registrars and registries that typically attend the ICANN meetings have been joined more and more by domain registrants and professional domain name investors or the domain marketplace.
For me personally, I am looking forward to seeing domain professionals in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and I am grateful for the travel being so convenient for both events.
This will also be a great opportunity for both domainers to see what ICANN meetings are like and for ICANN meeting attendees to get a peek into the world of the robust Domain Marketplace that is thriving and growing.
