Day 2 is over here at DomainFest and the conference is proving to be a success. 600+ attendants are mingeling and networking, a lot of them are learning about the domain industry for the first time and the venue is first class!
Highlights of the day included Domainer’s Town Hall with Frank Schilling, one of the industry’s most successful individuals with a current portfolio of over 350,000 domains. This session was extremely popular and people had to stand in the back rows to accomodate everyone. Frank answered numerous questions about his views of the industry current and future. We hope to bring you a video feed of this event in the near future. We will bring you a more in depth report of all the sessions in future articles.
It became official that Oversee.net, the organizers of Domainfest, will organize their next domain conference in Paris in cooperation with EuroDNS. The event will be called DomainerMeeting and will be held in Paris on June 19th and 20th, preceeding the ICANN conference, which will debut on June 22nd. In the afternoon the highlight was the LIVE Domain Auction which we reported from live. The results can be found here.
In the evening, DomainSponsor invited all participants to a “Night at Bazaar Party”, featuring enchanting music, various choices of meals, alluring dancers, all of it in a Middle Eastern exotic theme. As you can imagine the event was well attended and well organized.
