The Government of Greece has failed to renew several important domains.
The Government did not renew the domains Athens2004.com and Athens2004.gr, which were both official websites of the 2004 Athens Olympics.
The Government did not renew the domain EU2003.gr, which was an official website about the Greek presidency of the European Union.
It is a shame that such important websites are gone due to the failure to pay very nominal renewal fees. This shows the importance of proper management of domains in large organizations, as well as the importance of registering domains for as long as possible.
