ICANN Board has unanimously approved the Prague-based Czech Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic (the “Czech Arbitration Court”) to become a new UDRP service provider. The Czech Arbitration Court plans to start accepting complaints under the UDRP in approximately six months.
The Czech Arbitration Court, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1949, already provides dispute resolution services for domain name disputes related to .eu and .cz domain names. Mr. Bohuslav Klein, President of the Czech Arbitration Court, commented: “We are very happy to be able to make this significant contribution to the Internet community and to further develop the position of the Czech Arbitration Court among the progressive and innovative dispute resolution centers worldwide.”
“Now it is time for us to work hard to turn this very exciting opportunity into reality” said Mr. Zbynek Loebl, leader of the Czech Arbitration Court’s expert team.
