As many of you know I’m exploring how much capital value domains are worth. As a part of this while I was at TRAFFIC I conducted a little experiment. Each person that I spoke to I asked them how much they thought progolfer.com was worth.
It was a really interesting exercise that really highlighted to me that “beauty really is in the eye of the beholder”. The range of valuations went from $5,000 to $500,000 and seemed to depend mainly upon the domainer’s affinity with golf .
I’d like to continue the experiment via whizzbangsblog.com and a poll. If you click on the below link then you will be asked to provide an answer to what you would value progolfer.com. I will then follow up the poll with an article outlining the results and I may even put the domain up for sale at the next TRAFFIC auction to get an actual final price.
