I’ve been writing a lot last few days but what you do not know, I’ve been pretty sick last few days as well, since Tuesday. Fever, heavy coughing, worst than I ever remember. No fun to say the least. Having partners such as Darren Cleveland and Jeff Bhavnanie, having a domain portfolio on auto-pilot (long term deal with Hitfarm.com, domains consolidated with Monte Cahn’s Moniker.com), the business is not affected at all. The never-ending spiral of people with mobile devices continues, and the latest prediction is that one million people worldwide will be accessing the internet form a mobile device at least once a month according to a report on the IDC Internet Commerce Market Model, version 11.1 in PC World.
Another report, 2007 Western European Mobile Communications, covers developments in western Europe’s mobile communications market in 2007. The report notes the “3G subscriber base has shown extraordinary growth and in coming years it is expected that consumer reticence to use services will be overcome as operators introduce flat-rate charging models.” The report costs US$995. Hong Kong, 25 January 2008 – DotAsia Organization is pleased to announce today the historical smooth completion of the first batch of domain auctions for the .Asia “Sunrise” (i.e. priority registration period intended for intellectual property rights owners).
The auctions proved to be a massive success in contrast to previous chaotic rushes for domain names that leave brand owners frustrated.
