A pair of nice 6-figure domain sales sit at the summit on our latest weekly Top 20 Sales chart. Sofas.com set the pace after changing hands for $231,500 via RickLatona.com. The stunning $151,000 sale of CamRoulette.com in the DomainMadness 2 auction holds the runner up spot. Most of you have heard the back story on CamRoulette.com by now. The doman was newly registered near the end of 2009, then sold to Domain Name News editor Adam Strong for $1,400 in February 2010. Strong then put it in the DomainMadness 2 auction in March and saw his investment increase more than 100-fold when it went for $151,000 (the domain has been paid for and transferred to the new owner). It is certainly one of the most remarkable return on investment stories in industry history. The .coms went on to sweep 13 of the 20 chart entries. The non .com gTLDS were limited to two spots, but one of those reached #4 on the all extension leader board, Altier.net at $30,000 through Sedo.com. Sedo went on to chart 13 domains to lead all venues. By Ron JacksonSedo’s haul included all five of the ccTLDs that made the elite list, led by #7 Abendschule.de ("night school" in German) at €13,879 ($18,875). Just one step back in an 8th place tie was D.TV at $18,000 (Gild.com also drew $18,000 at YummyNames.com).
Aside from Sedo, the only other venue with multiple chart entries was the AfternicDLS who hit the daily double with #12 Tires.org at $15,000 and #18 Outsider.com at $12,000.
