As far as I know domain name extension and google are 2 diffrent things and you have nothing to worry about.

If web site you have with that domain name do not have nofollow atributes I assume that will be indexed with no doubts

I assume that you need to have some links form the well indexed web sites and then you will sure that your web site is indexed.

I have heard that google DO pay more attention to the one domain name extension and ignore another
