Old by registration date or old since that was indexed by major SE? I believe they are 2 different things and might depend on the domain name value

They are not more valued. If they are indexed they have PR and they are more expensive then domain names without PR

Yes that should cost more because previous owner should return money he invested in the domain name renewals
