Hermes International,the well known luxury fashion house submitted recently a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center,asserting legal rights over the Hermes-Birkins.net domain name . Hermes owns many trademark registrations for the "Hermes" mark.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark .The disputed domain name doesn’t resolve to any website for now .
The case is still pending compliance checks with WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center .
