Google owns thousands of domains, partially to protect those domains from being misused by typosquatters and to protect their brand identity. There is no doubt that some of them were registered for future business ventures as well.
Since Google lawyers have been keeping busy registering and reclaiming lots of Google-related domain names over the years, the best advice we have for you is that you may want to consider owning typo versions of your important business domains as well. More importantly, most businesses don’t have anyone assigned to keeping an eye out for websites that use their trademark in dubious ways. Don’t let others get away with diluting the traffic your trademark deserves! Assign someone to keep a watchful eye out and initiate a UDRP dispute if unauthorized websites exist.
Below is a list of .com domains Google owns, we found worth sharing. This only represents a very small sample of all the domains owned by Some of these are very odd (to say the least):

If you are wondering how you can find domains owned by Google, all you have to do is process the .com top-level domain root zone file for those pointing to the Google DNS servers ns1.google.com-ns4.google.com. Then you just need to confirm that the domain names are owned by Google by looking at domain WHOIS information.
We recommend EuroDNS for all your domain research and registration needs. They not only have the most domain extensions available but also a great search engine!
