The propensity for cybersquatters to register domain names when a scandal or disaster erupts has attracted the attention of the Deal Book in The New York Times.
The Times refers to the owner of the domain name BernieMadoff.com, with Bernard Madoff coming to the attention of the media following the collapse of a giant Ponzi scheme. The owner of the domain name has put it up for sale on eBay for an initial bid of US$10,000.
