Couple of months ago,Facebook bought from Farm Bureau the FB.com domain name.Back then,neither Facebook nor Farm Bureau wanted to disclose the actual sum of the domain name sale.
However,Farm Bureau announced recently ,at their annual meeting in Atlanta that the organization earned $8,5 million by selling some domain names.Even though rumors said back then that FB.com domain name was bought by Facebook,Mark Zuckerberg announced the purchase on Novemeber 15,2010 .
Facebook bought FB.com domain name last September and the domain name was bought to be used internally by Facebook .
