Cindy Crawford,one of the world’s best known supermodel,has recentl filed a complaint with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center,asserting legal rights over CindyCrawford.com domain name .
Cynthia Ann Crawford,aka Cindy Crawford, should expect the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center order the domain name to be transferred,considering the supermodel is a famous person all over the world.
The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center will examine if the domain name is confusingly similar to the trademarked name.Moreover,it will examine if the owner of the disputed domain name has rights over it and if the domain is being used in bad faith.CindyCrawford.com will be passed over to Cindy Crawford if it falls under all three of these stipulations.
According to whois records,the disputed domain name was registered by Julian S. Garcia of Madrid,Spain.The domain name is being forwarded to a website that contains sexually explicit materials.
The case is still pending compliance checks with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center .
