An arbitrator with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center has awarded the domain name OnlineAppleStore.com to Apple.
Apple has filed a complain with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center a couplu of months ago,asserting legal rights over the disputed domain name.
Apple owns many trademark registrations for the "Apple" mark all over the worl.Therefore,it is more than obvious that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to its trademark.
The WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center examined if the domain name is confusingly similar to th tademarked name.Moreover,they examined if the owner of the disputed domain name has rights over it and if OnlineAppleStore.com is being used in bad faith.Apple managed to demonstrate all three elements and the panel ordered the domain name to be transferred from the respondent to the complainant.
