Domain parking revenue is an important measure of a generic domain name’s worth, but why? When faced with other attributes of subjective value that are difficult to measure, it is natural to give considerable weight to revenue. Revenue can be measured and comparisons can be made for revenue to sale price of other domains. Appraisers love to have comparables. There are problems with a valuation model that does not also consider other more difficult to measure attributes.

One day only after the “auction announcement” (see below) mTLD issued a Press Release explaining the process. (See the Press Release)
Not much to learn here but a key date was given: Monday, November 6th when, to quote mTLD: “Information on the initial names for the Request for Tender (RFT) process is planned to be released“.
mTLD has been known for slippery dates in the past, let’s hope this will not be the case as the RFT process is, right now, rather mysterious.
